This Braun T1 tuner is functioning well and is ready to be added to your hifi set-up. Having owned this model previously, I obviously found this concerning as the other others did not have this issue. After some consultation with a local Braun aficionado, I found this tuning matter was a known issue. With his help, I was able to recalibrate the tuning circuit so that it would turn to 107 mHz. Now the tuning range is roughly 89-107mHz, though that expands when the unit has some time to warm up. After an hour or two, you can get set another couple mHz either way. The cosmetic condition is not excellent but nearly all of the cosmetic flaws will be hidden when in a stereo cabinet, or with another component on top of it. There are a number of scratches on the top, but nothing down to the metal except possibly two spots on the back edge that have been filled in by the previous owner. The tuning knob is not original to the tuner but it looks so similar I couldn’t even tell the difference. It still does its job. Unfortunately, there are some not-so-honest people out there that claim additional damage, flaws, etc. For this reason, all items I sell are now as-is. Thank you for your understanding.
