ONKYO INTEGRA T-9090 II Quartz Synthesized FM Stereo Tuner
ONKYO INTEGRA T-9090II Quartz Synthesized FM Stereo Tuner. The tuner is in VERY NICE Condition with the exception of one of the two outputs. But you wouldn’t even be using two different outputs at the same time anyways, even less likely the fixed output. The variable level output works absolutely fine. I have been using this tiner for the past couple weeks and it is 100% working fine except for that output. Here’s some more info. Onkyo Integra T-9090II Computer-Controlled FM Tuner. The Integra Series Sound. Onkyo’s Integra series of hi-fi components is dedicated to a simple yet elusive goal; the accurate recreation of the full sonic impact of a live performance with all its immediacy and excitement. The T-9090II epitomizes this dedication. A worthy addition to integra line, this FM-only tuner sets a new world standard in FM reception and operating convenience. Nothing less would be enough; nothing less would be Integra. Computer-Controlled Five-Mode APR (Automatic Precision Reception) System. The five-mode APR system in the T-9090II monitors the quality of the FM broadcast being received and automatically sets a total of five reception modes antenna [A/B], RF mode [DX/local], IF bandwidth [wide/narrow/S-narrow], hi-blend [on/off] and mode [stereo/mono]. APR provides optimum FM quality with computer controlled accuracy and convenience. All modes can be changed either manually or by remote control if necessary. You can even preset them in memory. High Sensitivity and Selectivity. The T9090II’s reception of weak FM stations, whether over the air or cable, is outstanding; 50 dB quieting sensitivity is a remarkable 0,8 µV. Selectivity has also been substantially improved over the previous version, for clear reception of weak stations even if powerful local channels broadcast on adjacent frequencies. The selectivity specification of 80 dB, adjacent channel, ±300 kHz sets a new standard in FM tuner performance. SFR (Sonic Noise Filtering Reception) Anti-Microphonic Circuit. Though known for their low distortion. Synthesizer tuners are extremely sensitive to mechanical vibrations. If sound pressure from the speakers causes the chassis to vibrate, these vibrations can in turn be translated into distortion-causing electrical voltages. If these spurious elements find their way into the music signal; the tuner will sound distorted and unmusical. This phenomenon is known as the microphonic effect. Onkyo’s SFR system uses electrical means to fight microphonic interference at its source; the synthesizer section. This innovative technology greatly contributes to the astonishing sonic purity and naturalness of the T-9090II. Onkyo’s unwillingness to compromise on quality is no where more evident than in the solid construction of the T-9090II. This tuner is built to last, from the copper front end shielded case, pure copper bus ground lines (five in all) to the shielded casings for the digital and power supply blocks. In addition, the chassis of the T-9090II is specially designed to prevent microphony, incorporating a damping steel base panel to keep mechanical vibrations to a minimum. Automatic or manual antenna selection (A or B). Cable FM compatibility with 25 kHz tuning steps and cable FM fine tuning mode. Designed for sonic excellence with strictly selected electrical components. Preset memory scan previews all preset stations by tuning in each one for five seconds. Auto scan memorization puts strong frequencies in memory automatically. Timer program preset tuning. Tuning Range: 87.5 – 108.0 MHz. Manual mode : 25 kHz step. Auto mode : 50 kHz steps. Mono : 0,8 µV S/N 26 dB, 40 kHz DE. Stereo : 20,0 µV S/N 46 dB, 40 kHz Dev. 50 dB Quieting Sensitivity. Mono : 15,8 dBf (1,7 µV). Stereo : 37,2 dBf (20 µV). Capture Ratio: 1,0 dB. Image Rejection Ratio: 100 dB. IF Rejection Ratio: 100 dB. Mono : 95 dB (IHF). Stereo : 85 dB (IHF). Selectivity: 80 dB (+-300 khz IF: super narrow). Mono : 0.009% (IF wide). Stereo : 0.02% (IF wide). Frequency Response: 30 – 15,000 Hz (+0.5 dB -1.0 dB). 55 dB at 1 kHz (IF wide). 33 dB at 70 – 10,000 Hz (IF wide). Output Voltage: 0 – 1,5 V. Dimensions (W x H x D): 465 x 103 x 387 mm (18-5/16″ x 4-1/16″ x 15-1/4). Weight: 8.5 kg (18.7 lbs). T-9090 and T-9090ii were the best tuners ever made by Onkyo. The T-9090 is “almost” the equal of its successor for sensitivity and selectivity, and both have the digital equivalent of 6 gangs. However, the T-9090ii has 9 ceramic filters to the T-9090’s 7, and the T-9090ii tunes in. 025 MHz steps (which can be useful for detuning away from a strong local station) rather than in. 2 steps like the T-9090. In addition, the T-9090ii has two antenna inputs that can be A/B’d, and a few other features that the T-9090 lacks. Both tuners have 20 presets and digital signal strength readouts, among other bells and whistles. The most significant feature of the T-9090 and T-9090ii (which can also be found in other tuners in Onkyo’s Integra line) is the “APR” (Automatic Precision Reception) system which automatically selects the optimal IF bandwidth, RF mode, stereo or mono, and whether or not to use the hi-blend filter, based upon the characteristics of the tuned signal. The T-9090ii’s APR system also chooses between Antenna A or B for best reception. Both Onkyos are superb DX machines, and as digital tuners are excellent for adjacent channel reception due to the. 01 MHz fine-tuning capability. The Onkyos are really selective enough without modification – especially the T-9090ii, which uses five 150 kHz filters in its Super Narrow IF mode. Although this spec does not appear in Onkyo’s U. The 75-ohm coax jack on both the T-9090 and T-9090ii requires a push-on F-connector. The item “ONKYO INTEGRA T-9090 II Quartz Synthesized FM Stereo Tuner” is in sale since Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
